4 Spectacular Videos shot in USA, Myanmar and Malaysia
In 2012 Paul Russell and Cass Anawaty released their second album, Analog Universe, to some critical acclaim and a lot of radio play on USA smooth jazz and ambient radio stations. It was the follow up to their first album, Monjour, both of which were composed and recorded before either of the two men had met – such is the power of the internet.
They finally met in 2012 when Paul travelled to Cass’ studio in Portland, Oregon, USA to mix the final version of Analog Universe. While travelling around the USA Paul shot some amazing footage in Arizona and Utah and made two videos based on two of the songs on Analog Universe. Shooting these required a custom mount to be built for the car they were travelling in, enabling some really long dolly moves.
He then followed these up with two more based on footage shot in Myanmar and Malaysia.
Heavily influenced by Ron Fricke, these videos will delight anyone who is a fan of Baraka and Samsara.
